Balloon Salesperson Flys Away!

April 20, 2010 - Minneapolis

On January 11th, a balloon salesperson by the name of Reginald B. James was standing around selling his wares when slowly, but surely his cart was starting to hover over the earth. After a few minutes the cart was a couple feet off of the ground and this drawed a crowd to see the best balloon salesman ever.
"It was a complete accident!" says Reggie, the salesman. "Bussiness has never been better due to my hovering cart" he added.
After a few months there were daily crowds of 300 balloon hungry patrons waiting to see James's next trick. "I'm a little disappointed that i cant provide any more neat tricks for my customers" said Reginald.
To this point, his business Helium Head Balloons, has risen 27 points in the stock market and his floating shop seems to continue its rise in popularity. "It's the greatest thing i've ever seen, i compare it to the Pyramids at Giza or the Taj Mahal, It's just that breathtaking" said bystander Jenny Apricot.
Another patron, jenny's sister, Janice apricot also was amazed at this balloon phenomenon. "So my sister compared this to old temples and pyramids, i'd say this is up there with being the first to land on the moon, or inventing the lightbulb. Reginald is a complete genius!"
Genius she says, Reginald is a little more humble than that in his praise. "I was seriously just standing around when it lifted, and every since then my business has been lifted." He says, "Would you complain?"

THIS WAS SOME ADVENTURE HUH?

Once upon a time in a jungle far, far, away......

Reginald B. James, jungle explorer extrodinaire, and his lovely assistants, Janice and Jenny Apricot were exploring a jungle in the Mayan region of Mexico, when they stumbled upon a cave entrance.

" By golly, this cave sure seems ancient" says Reggie

" This cave is extremely dank and dark, we might get lost if we enter, lets tie this rope to a tree outside and enter the great hole" said Janice.

As the company entered the cave, filled with nothing but hollow hopes and dark conditions, they stumbled upon a great underground gorge, filled with endless temples and Mayan ruins.

" WHAT IS THIS" shouted the dim, but loveable assistant explorer Jenny.

Reginald replied, "This seems to be the lost Acutaka Mayan Ruins lost to time and hidden entrances, im astonished we happened to discover this hidden gem."

"Reginald! We will be famous, we should claim some artifacts before they dispatch a excavation squad." says Janice, the smarter, money hungry sister.

Reginald explains " This would be a wonderful idea, i knew bringing my two lucky assistants would prove to be worthwhile."

The companions come upon a slanted, zig zagged hill that leads to the ruined city's main gate. After walking cautiously down the slope, the explorers finally reach the main gate. Upon arriving, they notice that one side of the gate has been cracked open, enough for a single person to fit through.

Janice noticed this first, "The left side of this gate appears to be completely untounched for centuries, while this right side seems freshly opened. We should proceed with caution"

Reginald and Jenny responded simply by saying simultaneously "Agreed"

The group couldn't decide who would enter first, after wasting precious time contemplating, the Apricot Sisters called for a vote, sending the big cheese in first. As Reginald approached the gate, he reached into his satchel for a .44 caliber handgun, fully loaded, and squeezed through the entrance. He glanced around the main hall of the citadel he entered.

After scanning the location a few times Reginald shouted "Okay gals, the coast is clear".

The siters entered the citadel as well, they marveled at the mysterious shroud the temple presented. Along with Reggie, Janice and Jenny continued to walk further into the seemingly dormant, and empty temple. They walked at a snails pace, simply to scan the drawings on the walls, drawings of death and life, animals and people, it was nothing short of amazing artwork. After walking around for about a half hour, the group put down a flare and took a rest upon an alter shaped rock.

"Whew, this is the most exciting thing i've done in all thirty years i've been on this world" says Reggie

" I totally agree, this has to be our crowning acheivement" acknowledged Jenny

While those two were locked in conversation, Janice wanted to explore the alter area in a little more detail. She noticed a snake head protruding from the alter, inside the snake eyes laid 2 rubies. Lusting for fortunes, janice reached out and grabbed the right eye's ruby. Next was the left eye. While attempting to dislodge the blood red ruby from the snake head, the floor beneath her collapsed and she was whisked away down a shadowy ravine underneath the temple. When she landed on the ground, her head was hit upon a large rock, she laid all alone, unconscious.

Not realizing that there companion was missing, Jenny and Reggie were still engaged in ecstatic conversation regarding the discovery, and what they will do with the prestige they will earn.

"Do you have a wife to share this discovery with?" asked the twenty-five year old assitant, Jenny

"I can't say that i do, traveling the globe doesn't leave you with many opportunities to connect with one person on a level that marriage requires." said Reginald.

Lost in his eyes, Jenny was completely enamored by the lead explorer. She has had a crush on him since they first made contact, and she had no thoughts about her missing sister.

" Where is Janice? she sure had been gone a long time." says Reggie

" She's a big girl, im sure shes just exploring the area, i trust her." said the enamored sister.

Poke. Poke. Poke.....

Janice is awoken by a series of awkward pokes to her side, she opens her eyes and lets out a deafening scream when she is being stared at by an unknown individual.

"Who are you?!?!?!?" says the shocked Apricot sister

The mysterious man simply said "My name is Rodrigo Perez, I'm a Mexican government-paid explorer. Who are you?"

Janice responded by saying "I'm Janice Apricot, im here from America, i am one of the top explorer assistants in the country" Boasting Proudly, she shows her explorer I.D. "Where you the one who opened the main gate before we entered the citadel?"

Rodrigo confirmed he was the one who entered first, he showed Janice his badge and explained to her how he fell down a trap door and the events leading up to there meeting. "And the i saw you laying down unconscious, so i poked you to see if you were alive" says Rodrigo. The two decided to stay together and find a way out of this ravine full of rocks and dust. Determined they started walking, lighting flares as they walked. "This was some adventure, huh?" says Rodrigo, talking about stumbling upon a person in a deserted mayan temple. They continued to walk the ravine.

Back to the Alter, Jenny and Reggie were finally worrried about the missing assistant and sister, Janice.

" Perhaps we should go look for her" says a concerned Reginald. Jenny Agreed, and the two walked further into the dark citadel, pushing further and further into unknown territory.....
