BLOG POST #5

If i had a conversation with someone famous, it would have to be someone that relates to me. He/She would also have to be relevent. I enjoy sports so for my conversation, i will be talking to the Miami Heat's Starting Small Forward LeBron James.

Me: Hey Lebron, How do you feel about making the Eastern Conference Finals?

LeBron James: Well Brandon, beating the Celtics 4-1 was an amazing acheivement, but were not done. We want to win the whole thing. Let's get Miami a Championship.

Me: Good idea. The Celtics seemed to not have an answer for you. You Completely Shredded them.

LJ: They tried to play defense, but how do you guard me? I'm 6'8, 240 Lbs, and can jump out of the gym. You find someone to guard me.

Me: Sounds a little cocky, but we all know thats true. Depending on who wins the series between Atlanta and Chicago, who would you like to play next?

LJ: It really doesnt matter, both have their own strengths and weaknesses. I just hope they wear each other down so we can cruise to an NBA championship. But if they are ready to go, we will be ready to duke it out and get a hard fought W.

Me: Sure thing, How's Miami treating you?

LJ: Well, Its Sunny. We got Beaches. And i have the best organization and teammates a guy could ask for. How do you think its treating me?

Me: Quality Answer. Where's your favorite place to play besides home?

LJ: Well besides Miami, I obviously Enjoy Cleveland, seeing as how i was born there, raised there, and played high school and professional ball there. Hometown Love you could say.

Me: Well it was Nice Talking to you. We look Forward to our next interview.

LJ: Sure, thanks for having me.

Blog #4 - Saying Too Much.

Th at was some adventure huh, part 2 (saying too much)

As Reggie and Jenny continued to walk, they were ambushed by rattle snakes slithering by, frightening darkness, and scattered cobwebs.
"This sure is ancient, I'm slightly scared, but i know this is for the greater good of society and us" said a dark-fearing jenny.
"I know, I'm not too fond of snakes myself, but we must push forward to find your sister, and to continue exploring." Said a Valiant Reginald.
They reached a large, wooden door at the end of the citadel. Struggling to open the door by himself, Jenny added what muscle she could provide to help Reginald. With their combined strength, they pryed the door open just enough to get through. When they both got through the door, it slammed closed behind them.
       "WHOA!" they exclaimed together.
About fifteen feet ahead of them down the narrow hallway they were trapped in, was a ravine.  The ravine looked nearly 30 yards deep at first glance, but after re-examining their position Reggie realised the darkness made it seem deeper than it actually was. Knowing there only chance of continuing on was to rappel down over the ledge, they both gulped their spit and decided to head down into the creeping darkness.
After walking for what felt like forever, Rodrigo wanted to rest and gather their situation. "Janice we should figure out what to do, i feel like we've walked the same paths over and over again" He said.
"I Suppose, that seems like the best plan right about now." Janice Responds.
Lighting a flare and finding a suitable spot to sit Rodrigo stumbled upon a small cave. "Look! This may be our only escape route." a curious, but still mysterious Rodrigo said.
Entering the small cave, only big enough for them to crawl through, Janice says "How did you stumble upon this opening?"
    "Luck" He says.

After Latching the rope to a sturdy presence, Jenny and Reginald took turns heading down to the ravine. They both reached the bottom and decided to keep the rope attached, just in case they get trapped down here too. Reginald was exploring his surroundings, when he noticed fresh boot prints side by side heading one way down the ravine. This puzzled him seeing as how he thought only he and the Apricot sisters, a total of 3, were the only people here. With only 1 set of feet missing from the group, he wanted to explore the tracks. "Lets go this way" a Puzzled Explorer Reggie said.
After walking for a few minutes, he saw on the ground a note, labeled to Rodrigo. Jenny was starting the pick of the mystery of the double set of footprints. "Maybe this note, explains where these footprints came from." said the Dull, but suddenly competent Sister.
Opening the note, Reginald read aloud the only 3 words on the paper. "GET THE AMERICANS"  The note said too much, so much that the explorers were completely worried.....

This was some adventure, huh part 3 coming soon.

Balloon Salesperson Flys Away!

April 20, 2010 - Minneapolis

On January 11th, a balloon salesperson by the name of Reginald B. James was standing around selling his wares when slowly, but surely his cart was starting to hover over the earth. After a few minutes the cart was a couple feet off of the ground and this drawed a crowd to see the best balloon salesman ever.
"It was a complete accident!" says Reggie, the salesman. "Bussiness has never been better due to my hovering cart" he added.
After a few months there were daily crowds of 300 balloon hungry patrons waiting to see James's next trick. "I'm a little disappointed that i cant provide any more neat tricks for my customers" said Reginald.
To this point, his business Helium Head Balloons, has risen 27 points in the stock market and his floating shop seems to continue its rise in popularity. "It's the greatest thing i've ever seen, i compare it to the Pyramids at Giza or the Taj Mahal, It's just that breathtaking" said bystander Jenny Apricot.
Another patron, jenny's sister, Janice apricot also was amazed at this balloon phenomenon. "So my sister compared this to old temples and pyramids, i'd say this is up there with being the first to land on the moon, or inventing the lightbulb. Reginald is a complete genius!"
Genius she says, Reginald is a little more humble than that in his praise. "I was seriously just standing around when it lifted, and every since then my business has been lifted." He says, "Would you complain?"

THIS WAS SOME ADVENTURE HUH?

Once upon a time in a jungle far, far, away......

Reginald B. James, jungle explorer extrodinaire, and his lovely assistants, Janice and Jenny Apricot were exploring a jungle in the Mayan region of Mexico, when they stumbled upon a cave entrance.

" By golly, this cave sure seems ancient" says Reggie

" This cave is extremely dank and dark, we might get lost if we enter, lets tie this rope to a tree outside and enter the great hole" said Janice.

As the company entered the cave, filled with nothing but hollow hopes and dark conditions, they stumbled upon a great underground gorge, filled with endless temples and Mayan ruins.

" WHAT IS THIS" shouted the dim, but loveable assistant explorer Jenny.

Reginald replied, "This seems to be the lost Acutaka Mayan Ruins lost to time and hidden entrances, im astonished we happened to discover this hidden gem."

"Reginald! We will be famous, we should claim some artifacts before they dispatch a excavation squad." says Janice, the smarter, money hungry sister.

Reginald explains " This would be a wonderful idea, i knew bringing my two lucky assistants would prove to be worthwhile."

The companions come upon a slanted, zig zagged hill that leads to the ruined city's main gate. After walking cautiously down the slope, the explorers finally reach the main gate. Upon arriving, they notice that one side of the gate has been cracked open, enough for a single person to fit through.

Janice noticed this first, "The left side of this gate appears to be completely untounched for centuries, while this right side seems freshly opened. We should proceed with caution"

Reginald and Jenny responded simply by saying simultaneously "Agreed"

The group couldn't decide who would enter first, after wasting precious time contemplating, the Apricot Sisters called for a vote, sending the big cheese in first. As Reginald approached the gate, he reached into his satchel for a .44 caliber handgun, fully loaded, and squeezed through the entrance. He glanced around the main hall of the citadel he entered.

After scanning the location a few times Reginald shouted "Okay gals, the coast is clear".

The siters entered the citadel as well, they marveled at the mysterious shroud the temple presented. Along with Reggie, Janice and Jenny continued to walk further into the seemingly dormant, and empty temple. They walked at a snails pace, simply to scan the drawings on the walls, drawings of death and life, animals and people, it was nothing short of amazing artwork. After walking around for about a half hour, the group put down a flare and took a rest upon an alter shaped rock.

"Whew, this is the most exciting thing i've done in all thirty years i've been on this world" says Reggie

" I totally agree, this has to be our crowning acheivement" acknowledged Jenny

While those two were locked in conversation, Janice wanted to explore the alter area in a little more detail. She noticed a snake head protruding from the alter, inside the snake eyes laid 2 rubies. Lusting for fortunes, janice reached out and grabbed the right eye's ruby. Next was the left eye. While attempting to dislodge the blood red ruby from the snake head, the floor beneath her collapsed and she was whisked away down a shadowy ravine underneath the temple. When she landed on the ground, her head was hit upon a large rock, she laid all alone, unconscious.

Not realizing that there companion was missing, Jenny and Reggie were still engaged in ecstatic conversation regarding the discovery, and what they will do with the prestige they will earn.

"Do you have a wife to share this discovery with?" asked the twenty-five year old assitant, Jenny

"I can't say that i do, traveling the globe doesn't leave you with many opportunities to connect with one person on a level that marriage requires." said Reginald.

Lost in his eyes, Jenny was completely enamored by the lead explorer. She has had a crush on him since they first made contact, and she had no thoughts about her missing sister.

" Where is Janice? she sure had been gone a long time." says Reggie

" She's a big girl, im sure shes just exploring the area, i trust her." said the enamored sister.

Poke. Poke. Poke.....

Janice is awoken by a series of awkward pokes to her side, she opens her eyes and lets out a deafening scream when she is being stared at by an unknown individual.

"Who are you?!?!?!?" says the shocked Apricot sister

The mysterious man simply said "My name is Rodrigo Perez, I'm a Mexican government-paid explorer. Who are you?"

Janice responded by saying "I'm Janice Apricot, im here from America, i am one of the top explorer assistants in the country" Boasting Proudly, she shows her explorer I.D. "Where you the one who opened the main gate before we entered the citadel?"

Rodrigo confirmed he was the one who entered first, he showed Janice his badge and explained to her how he fell down a trap door and the events leading up to there meeting. "And the i saw you laying down unconscious, so i poked you to see if you were alive" says Rodrigo. The two decided to stay together and find a way out of this ravine full of rocks and dust. Determined they started walking, lighting flares as they walked. "This was some adventure, huh?" says Rodrigo, talking about stumbling upon a person in a deserted mayan temple. They continued to walk the ravine.

Back to the Alter, Jenny and Reggie were finally worrried about the missing assistant and sister, Janice.

" Perhaps we should go look for her" says a concerned Reginald. Jenny Agreed, and the two walked further into the dark citadel, pushing further and further into unknown territory.....

BLOG 10

The Documentary....well this weekend is crunch time. We've had a hard time getting a camera, so were getting last minute B roll, and then some editing. One weekend to finish the majority of our project was bad timing. We really dropped the ball on this one. John is really optimistic about out final project, but i have my doubts. Im just looking forward to finishing the documentary and move on to the indepedent project.

The reading was a tribute to the different people in the world. In my opinion, the author is explaining peoples judgements of her choices. The things she does inspires the phrase "she must be from another country" in other people. I relate the reading to me in ways because i tend to do or say things people dont understand and may lead them to think "he must be from another country".

blog post 8.....

MS HODGE! I NEVER GOT THE READING!

Our Documentary is going alright, were just finishing up the filming and the editing will come soon. We have found a wonderful place to film the differences between boy and girl call of duty players. We're doing good, but not great, and we should put in 110% the rest of the way.

blog post "a gift of love"

The documentary process is going smooth. We have a specific focus, and are moving towards it. Were going to edit soon and have a final project done before the due date to screen it a little bit to family and get opinions. After that we will most likely change it accordingly. I'm pretty sure everything is going well.

I think the person who made toothpaste gave a gift to humanity. this sounds a little off the wall, but if you think about it many lives have been saved due to toothpaste. toothpaste can fight mouth cancer causing issues, and mouth cancer can lead to death. Also bad breath can kill someone these days. I think toothpaste is universal, therefore everyone can use it. (dont laugh im serious, bad breath is disgusting.)
